Design

Ready Made Tones
GlobalSkin comes out of the box with five pre-made tones. You can customise these tones across Hue, Saturation, Gamma, Stains 1 and 2, and the colour of the stains.


Albedos
Easily use tones/textures (albedos) without having to open nodes or similar.


Subsurface Scattering
Edit and tweak hardness, saturation, and size. You can edit the roughness and specularity (the amount of light the texture reflects, for example, to achieve a wet or dry skin result).


Details
Individually edit the colour of specific areas like the nose, lips, cheeks, elbows, fingers, knees, or even pores.

Customisation

Customisable Textures
Any texture you add will carry our AO ambient occlusion texture to make it look more visually appealing


MIX

At the end of every tone, there’s a MIX option that can be raised to increase the details of the texture


Effect Skins
Effect skins are a small selection of effects to give a different result to your skin, such as Freckles, Blemish 1, 2, and 3, Veins, Vitiligo, Acne, and Paint Stains. You can edit the colour/tone of all these effects; for example, to create blue acne if desired.


Editing Hardness
All of the above features can be edited in hardness (not just turned on or off). For example, you can activate acne and set it to 0.7 hardness, to create a subtle effect.


Sliders
Control all of these effects with sliders. By combining multiple effects you can achieve an infinite number of results.

Blender Versions

GlobalSkin is compatible with Blender version 4.2, as well as 3.0 to 4.1. We will continue to work on making it compatible with future versions of Blender as well.

Makeup

New additions
There’s an all new, makeup section. It features:

— The "base", where you can edit colour/tone, blur, and shine (glow).
Eyeshadow: edit the colour, glow, and blur.
Our eyeliner has 2 different styles. Within each you can edit the colour, hardness, and glow.
Blush: Colour, Blur, Hardness.
Lips, with the same edits as the previous objects, plus a lip contour.


Four new displacements

Plus an additional ‘Micropore’ which can be used to elevate realism.

What's the difference between GlobalSkin and Humanify?

GlobalSkin and Humanify are two separate products. Consider Humanify as a 'lite' version of GlobalSkin.

Although Humanify can be used and mastered to create extremely impressive human models, GlobalSkin provides a significant upgrade in terms of detail, quality and customisation. The difference is significant, and the end result can be compared to see that.

Alongside the feature improvements, GlobalSkin is an all-in-one solution to Realism, as it is adapted to the UVs of Metahuman, Human Generator, CC4 and Daz3D 8+9.

I'm a beginner. Will I be able to use GlobalSkin?

We'd suggest getting familiar with Blender before investing in any shaders or add-ons. Around a months worth of practice should get you to a place where you'll benefit from GlobalSkin. 

Take your time to learn the basics of materials, lighting, and rendering in Blender. Come back once you're ready. We aren’t going anywhere!

Can I customise Humans created with GlobalSkin?

Absolutely! While GlobalSkin streamlines the initial skin shader process, you'll have full control over customising and fine-tuning the generated result. For more information, check out the 'Addon Controls' section above.

Is GlobalSkin compatible with Blender 4.2?

Yes, GlobalSkin is compatible with Blender version 4.2, as well as 3.0 to 4.1. We will continue to work on making it compatible with future versions of Blender as well.

Can I use GlobalSkin for commercial projects?

Yes! GlobalSkin can be used for both personal and commercial projects.
